Each year the South Bend Symphony helps over 5,000 students in grades 3-6 discover the world of music in a fun concert designed especially for them. These interactive concerts are guided from the stage and have a different educational theme each year. Study guides, activities, and reference CDs are provided in advance to help students and teachers prepare for the concert.
The 2013 Young People’s Discovery Concerts are tentatively planned for November 7th and 8th. This concert, titled Music From Around the World, and it will feature everything from bombastic fanfares to Spanish dances to a rodeo. We hope your students will be able to join us!

Information from 2012 Young People’s Discovery Concerts
The South Bend Symphony Orchestra will be presenting Let Freedom Ring an exploration of American music and Veterans from all branches of the service. Come and join us for a salute to our veterans and the American spirit of Freedom. The performances take place at the Morris Performing Arts Center.
